The Northeast Community, approximately 1,100 sisters, associates and companions, is committed to making a difference by serving the needs of those who are poor, sick, oppressed and uneducated, especially women and children. The Sisters of Mercy and those who partner with them are inspired by the Gospel and follow the tradition of Catherine McAuley, the first Sister of Mercy, to empower people in need to achieve lives of dignity.
