St. Joseph College Creates Award in Honor of Sister Fay O’Brien

2011 sees first recipients of the Sister Fay O’Brien Education Alumnae/i Award

 The School of Education at Saint Joseph College (Connecticut) recently honored four faculty members as the first recipients of the Sister Fay O’Brien Education Alumnae/i Award. The award, newly created this year, is named for a treasured member of the Saint Joseph College community and a living representation of Mercy values – Sister Fay O’Brien, Ph.D. Sister Fay is recognized for her years of service to the College, particularly as a member of the faculty, former director of the School for Young Children, and currently as a member of the Saint Joseph College Board of Trustees. This award honors the encouragement of strong ethical values, personal integrity and responsibility to the needs of society in supporting the mission of the School of Education.
